Majestically standing up to 1,000ft. above the valley floor, "The Mittens" seem like ancient thrones from which the Gods watch over the Colorado Plateau on a early sunrise just hours after a major lightning storm brought a lot of rain to the dry desert.
perfect timing lovely shot
Sunsets don't get much better than this one.
Stunning exposure! Excellent shot.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I want to go here so bad! Gaa! Awesome pic man!
This is a great picture awsome!!!
Fantastic. One of the best shots I have seen of this magical place.
I love these desert pictures. To be, they're even more beautiful than pictures of a rainforest or Caribbean island
Incredible view, and I really like the way you've composed the shot. Any photos of lightning striking those "mittens" ?
Unfortunately not. We arrived a couple hours too late for the actual lightning but I saw the proof that there were beautiful strikes coming horizontally over the Mittens. The photographer who shot the images did not post them yet though, but as soon as he does, I'll get a link up here. If he ever does. However, you can still see the puddles from the rain in my shot. Not quite as "striking" but all there was to the scene when I showed up.
Woow I am speechless.. Breathtaking view, stunning photo.. I would love to go there someday ♥
