Ephemeral Beauty by davidrichterphoto Ephemeral Beauty by davidrichterphoto
The twin peaks of Agulles d'Amitges reflect in the Estany Gran d'Amitges in the Parc Nacional d'AigŁestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici during one of the most spectacular sunrises I have ever witnessed in an alpine environment. Thick fog was pushing over the crest of Pic de Bassiero towards the east, when all erupted in the most amazing symphony of oranges and reds. The light show only lasted for a very brief period before the clouds took over and shut the light down. The water was perfectly still that morning, so the deep azure water reflected the scene perfectly and I couldn't have wished for more stunning conditions.

I find it quite insulting everybody seems to scream out Photoshop whenever they come across an image they can't comprehend, to begin with. As if Photoshop was something bad and only used for evil, used to create fantasy scenes that could never exist in real life.

I certainly use Photoshop to a great extent in my processing but the events are real. The colors are real and processed from the RAW file to resemble the real events as if you were staying there beside me and my camera. There was nothing added to or removed from the scene that wasn't there in the first place.

Easy :S I just wanted to ask if it was just a photo taken by a professional camera or it had also been manipulated as you say to make it look more real and not a simple casual photo. Also because in your description you never say if it was edited or not I thought it was just the work of a professional camera because I do believe that nature looks better in real-life than in a picture. And photoshop evil? maybe I gave you the wrong idea in my way of expressing my impression of the picture, because I wasn't serious in the comment...

Lastly, sorry if I offended you, I just wanted to say that the picture looks great, nothing else :S
